What is Hypnotherapy?
We have two parts to our mind, the conscious and the subconscious. The conscious mind is the part we use for living our day-to-day lives. It can be likened to the surface of a lake that reflects everything around it. We use our conscious mind for communicating with others, socialising, working, conducting our relationships and so on. It causes most of our stress and tension with its incessant thinking, worrying, judging, criticising, analysing and comparing. But we have a deeper subconscious mind which is wiser and more eternal than our conscious mind.
This part of our mind often rises up when we are relaxed or sleeping. Intuitions,
predictions, hunches, coincidences and dreams are associated with the subconscious mind. Activating this part of our mind can help us to change whatever it is we want to change on the conscious level. Because the subconscious mind is not fearful or judgmental it is able to accept suggestions put to it and act on them.
Our lives are now more stressful than ever before. We are surrounded by pressure to succeed in our careers, to get on the property ladder, to be popular, successful,
attractive find the right partner, earn the right salary to be on social media…. . These
constant pressures can lead to a body and mind overloaded with stress and anxiety.
Hypnotherapy can help to rebalance your mind and body and put them back in
harmony. Breathing, relaxation and allowing your subconscious mind to take over for a while is a deeply refreshing experience that is vital in staying sane in our modern frantic world.
